Taking stock

It’s close to the end of the financial year. Time to do a stocktake!  This weekend, instead of collating paperwork for my tax return, I did a stocktake of my fabric stash, and discovered I have distinct liking for polka dot fabric. In the meantime, I’m also:

Reading Lionel Asbo by Martin Amis.

Making a handknitted jumper for myself, the pattern is Ravello and is on Raverly.

Wanting to finish a handkitted beanie for my friend.

Looking at how fat my cat Milly has gotten…time for the diet food again!

Listening to my friends Annie and Bern

Deciding when I will go to MONA in Tasmania

Enjoying working part-time for a little while.

Wondering if a certain man will call…

Loving my friend’s Sunday morning crafty group.

Watching autumn and spring bulbs pushing up through the soil.

Hoping I can make people smile with my blog.

Marvelling at my little nephew’s new tricks.

Needing a fringe trim.

Smelling my neighbour’s wonderful cooking.

Wearing polka dot tights (see, polka dots again!).

Following the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) program. Can’t wait to see Pulp: A Film about Life, Death & Supermarkets.

Noticing people move in the same circles.

Thinking about all the adventures Miss Pippilotta is going to share.

Feeling a little excited and nervous about beginning this blog.

Admiring older people.

Bookmarking blogs I have discovered through Blog with Pip.

Disliking injustice, and eggplant.

Opening a “thank you for being my seamstress” gift.

Giggling with my brother.

Coveting digital SLR cameras.

What are some of your favourite things at the moment? Are you taking stock too?

Thanks Deb. A crafty group is the bestest! We call ourselves Craftovision, a play on Eurovision

  2. So sweet. And success: you made me smile!

It’s a great thing, the ol’ stocktake. I think you’re going to succeed in your bloggy goals lady. I do.
